Ayu grew up surrounded by architecture — her father was a civil engineer, her mother a textile designer. Jakarta shaped her eye for scale and structure. But it was her first trip to Bali at 22 that changed the question she was asking. Not how big can a building be — but how alive can it feel.
She studied architecture at Universitas Indonesia, spent three years working on large commercial projects in Jakarta, and then made a decision that surprised everyone around her — she moved to Bali. Not for a project. To stay.
